Welcome to the Absa Life Co-Design Community. This forum has been created so that our customers can converse, get support, exchange ideas and connect with anyone else using an Absa Life powered hosted community. 

Every community has its own culture and boundaries and we are excited to create this space for you, but we also ask you review the below guidelines, before posting, as we expect all members to be familiar with them and will be held accountable for following them as well.

To maintain a similar environment, in this community, we ask you extend the same courtesies to everyone participating here. We expect everyone to act with respect and to use proper judgement for a community for community builders. Just as you'd want your own community to behave, we ask the same of you. 

Here are some things other consideration to remember when interacting in our community: 

This a safe space, so there are no dumb questions. Accept everyone has a different skill level. 

We ask you be respectful, friendly and sincere to all posters. 

We ask you to keep your posts relevant to the forum category, and not multi-post in various categories. 

We encourage you to use the Reactions (the little bar under every comment[KN(1] ) to share your positive feedback with users. 

Share your experience and your knowledge. We can all learn something new!

Here are some things we do not permit in the community: 

Do not post or link to information that is deceptive, fraudulent, threatening, libellous, harassing or hateful. 

Do not post or link to offensive or inappropriate content or content intended to be inflammatory, not safe for work (NSFW) content or any content that promotes or encourages illegal activities. 

Do not post copyrighted material unless you have the right to do so and with proper attribution. You may link to other Absa Life content in the community if it's appropriately attributed and relevant. 

Do not post or link to content that violates any person’s privacy rights. 

Do not post or link to confidential information. 

Do not misrepresent yourself or falsely imply any association to Absa Life 

Do not use the community for self-promotion, solicitation, or advertising of your business. 

Do not solicit community members privately for their personal contact information for any reason. 

Do not post or link to content that disparages Absa Life. 

Do not utilize or interact with the community in any way that violates the Absa LifeTerms of Service, you agreed to when joining the community. 

In summary, use your common sense, treat others as you expect to be treated and help us build a great community experience for everyone. 

We reserve the right to immediately remove any posts that does not conform to our guidelines without any warning. We also reserve the right to temporarily or permanently ban any member who violates these rules.

How old do I need to be to participate on ABSA Ideas?

Is there a reward for submitting my idea or solution?

There will be no reward for submissions of an idea or solution. However, if Absa Life decides to pursue an idea or solution, you will be notified and contacted.

Who decides if my submission is of interest to Absa Life?

A forum established within Absa Life will review all submissions. Absa Life will keep you up to date and inform you of the status of your submission. There will be no reward for submissions. However, if Absa Life decides to pursue a submission, you will be notified and contacted.

What information does my submission need to include?

The submission must also provide a comprehensive non-confidential overview of the proposed solution. Please focus on what it can do, information that is available and how it is better than currently available solutions.

Do I have to submit my confidential information required?

We request only non-confidential information throughout the submission process. You only need to send us an outline of your idea at this stage describing how it works in a general technical sense and what the benefits to the customer and Absa Life would be. Of course, the more information that you are able to provide the better.

What is the process once I submit my idea?

When you submit your idea, you will receive an email confirming that your submission has been received. After evaluation of your submission, Absa Life will inform you whether your submission is still under review, or will not be considered further. While your submission is still under review, Absa Life may contact you to discuss your submission, which may include a request for further information

Do I have to be 18yrs or older to submit an idea?

Yes, this is the legal accepted age for capacity to agree to the Terms of Use.

Do I have to accept the Terms of Use to participate?

Yes, the Terms of Use are created to protect you and your rights, as well as Absa Life's ongoing research programs, projects and concepts.

Respect other members.

Keep your remarks constructive and respectful. Don’t be offensive, abusive, humiliating or intimidating and don’t use profanity, attack, harass, or impersonate others. It’s just not cool.

Keep your comments on-topic.

Comments and description text for a specific idea are intended for that submission only:

• Do not post links or request visits/feedback to your own submissions, or otherwise try to make the conversation about your submission, on someone else’s submission. Please also don't 'advertise' submissions belonging to others in the comments. Remember that the comments section of other submissions is not about you and your submissions.
• Off-topic remarks (made in ALL CAPS, txtspeak, chatspeak, and the like) will be removed.
• All content not related to Absa Life products or processes will be removed.
• A submissions’ comments area isn’t a chat room or forum.

Don’t advertise, preach, or campaign.

Absa Life Microsite is not a venue for preaching or disseminating your political, religious, or social views. It is also not a venue to advertise any business, non-profit, or charitable cause. Absa Life Ideas Site is designed for creative people who play fairly and honestly. Secondary accounts will be removed when discovered and people who operate multiple accounts risk being permanently removed from participation. Accounts are meant for people, so please don't create “team” or group accounts.

Avatar, username and profile guidelines.

• Your avatar and username must comply with the Terms of Use and the House Rules.
• Please don’t upload an avatar showing a child under 13 years old. Images of children who appear to be under 13 will be removed to comply with international child safety laws.
• Please do not use avatars that do not belong to you.
• Please don't upload an avatar of the Absa Life logo or any logo owned by the Absa Life Group. 

Don’t share confidential information.

Sharing confidential or leaked Absa Life Community content or otherwise damaging content is strictly prohibited. We will suspend or ban accounts who share such information.

Please write in English.

All information in your Activity and Product Idea submissions must be written in English so that our moderation team can read it, and so that your submission reaches the widest audience possible. This includes titles, descriptions, etc. We prefer that comments are also written in English. 

Our moderators enforce these rules.

We reserve the right to remove any submissions or comments that violate these guidelines at our sole discretion. Repeated or severe violations will result in suspension or ban from the Absa Life Microsite.
