SHADOW OVERDRAFT LIMIT

Few years ago Absa had a shadow overdraft limit available where-in client debit orders was honoured. Now a day the debits are returned even if there are a few rand short. Sometimes it was just a matter of transfering or depositing later the day of transaction, but the return was maid already Then the client is advised to apply for an overdraft, which is difficult to maintain if it is inclueded in the available balance. I suggest you create a facility/product where clients can apply for a shadow limit, which will be "open" for 24 hours so that the provision can be made. It could work exactly as an overdraft, just not available for withdrawals or point of sale purchases.
